Personal background
I'm 23, and have lived all over the US and England. Currently attending Purdue University in Indiana, I'm working on graduating in August with a BS in Organizational Leadership and Supervision. I've always been fascinated with computers though, and am studying to get my Cisco Certified Networking Associate degree. Hopefully I'll have a job by the time I graduate. Anyone need a techie for their IT shop?

I have two computers that I run SETI on, one P3 dual 500 that runs linux, and one dual athlon 1200 that runs windows. MAN they're fast!

I enjoy mountain biking, water sports, fishing, and fine beers. I swam for four years in college, and have now retired and fix computers for a hobby.

My Webpage, always a work in progress...
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I don't know if otherworldly life exists. I don't know if we will ever know, but I do know that taking an active role and looking for life makes us feel better. As futile as searching may be, there's always that glimmer of hope that someone might find something, maybe it will be the data you download and process!

As for right now, I don't think we're ready for extraterestrial life. We have enough problems keeping things together on our own planet. When we manage to stop killing and fighting and polluting and pillaging the earth, maybe we'll be ready to move on to different worlds and meet new forms of life. But for now, I'll do my part, try to leave the earth a little better than i found it, and process SETI datagrams!
