I'm an engineer who believes "they are out there" so I'm hoping the SETI program will find them. I also hope that they are friendly or we'll all be in deep trouble!
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I believe extraterrestrial life exists. When we find it or they find us (which they may already have) I don't know. I think it's only a matter of time though. Perhaps they are waiting for us to mature a little more both technologically and socially (like stop killing each other) before they make themselves openly known to us.
