If you think ET Life does not exsist think about this for a minute.
The universe is Infinite
If this is true then by definition there would be an infinite amount of worlds, solar systems, etc, just like this one. There has to be. So the chance of sentient life exsisting is a sure bet. The question is will we be able to recognize this when it is presented to us? We are doing our part by helping SETI and I feel that if there are worlds out there with beings on them they are doing the exact same thing. every rock has stars that taunt it, and its inhabitants. Why would they not dream about what is past them?
If you were an alien would you make sure that humans did not know about you? or just americans?
