Born -71 and living in Finland. I'm a professional DJ, started in 1987. Actually that was an accident! I thought after army I'd get back to school and get a real job,BUT... here I still am, clubbing night after night. Clubbing ain't the right word, since I do so different kind of places; clubs, discos, music bars, pubs... The variety has kept me going. As everyone understands, this sure ain't gonna last forever. That's why I have couple of "backup plans", but those are irrelevant at this to be revealed.
Hobbies...music and computers. What a major surprise,huh? The last one may be come part of my next job. |

-Do you think extraterrestrial life exists?
Of course I do. The question is, in what kind of form.
-If so, when and how will humans discover it?
When and how?!? If I'd knew, would I be running SETI? Nope, I'd be doing my lottery!
-What are the possible benefits and dangers of such a discovery?
Benefits depends on discoveries and the level of intelligenge of found life forms. There
could be major breakthrouhts in medics and technologies.
Dangers? They could be far beyond your wildest dreams! And
don't forget, humans are dangerous too. If we would find something good, it doesn't meant that
it wouldn't turn out to be something very very bad in our hands. What if we'd find something
we can't control or reason with?
-Should humans transmit a beacon for others to find? If so, what
information should we send?
Idea sounds good but is it really? We send ping, they send pong, how long did this take?
Maybe it's still better than noting. Let's send the picture of Lewinski.
-Why do you run SETI@home? What are your views about the project?
IMHO we will find nothing! But if we wouldn't be searching, we'd be whining about it. If
we would find something...anything, I'd be happy about it, BUT DON'T HOLD YOUR BREATH!
