Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Yes I do believe there is some sort of other extraterrestrial life out there, intellegent? maybe. More advanced than us? who knows, I dont think we will find out in this life :)
I feel that it is healthy to have positive outlook towards SETI, life is to wonderful to believe we are the only ones out there. I believe our human existance is a bit less 'random' than we think :)

I dont believe there is a need to transmit a beacon, we all ready make enough 'noise' with TV, radio, satalite transmisions. Money should be spent towards projects like this, on reciving/listening and processing.

I like to run SETI@home because I feel that it is a viable project for home PC's to run, it cost us an extra nothing to run, gives back something to mankind, and the way processing power is heading towards these days, isn't a waste of idle of time/power/energy.
