I'think Seti@home (and the BOINC project) is a great idea to make possible and less expansive different kind of research very long and difficult.
SETI@home is based on collaboration of thousand and thousand people of different countries, religions, ideas and way of life. Everyone doing something for progress all human kind, with the common hope to find other intelligences far from earth.
It's a real good thing.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
My opinion about SETI@home is in my personal background (read above). Just a suggestion (for BOINC Project or SETI@home client). Give to the user the possibility to choose the amount of CPU to give to the project directly from the program (not using other less-usefull add-on). Is not usefull to use other program like ThreadMaster but without them SETI threads go up to 100%.
