I'm a 20 year old physics/math major at WVU. My interests are primarily in plasma instability, quantum field theory, neutrinos & particle annihilation, and semiconductor physics.

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I think it's fairly reasonable to assume that there is in fact some sort of life in the universe (or at least, there was at some point). How advanced this life is, we can't be certain, but it would be foolish to assume it doesn't exist and not even bother looking.

Hopefully Seti@Home will help us identify potential hot spots of activity, and eventually find life in the universe. We may not get there today, or even this decade, but we'll always keep looking because somewhere in the vastness of the universe, there just might be something else that's alive. Of course, who knows if they're sending out radio waves :D
