Profile: REDSKIN

Personal background
Hi all, I am a renewable energy researcher in the small town of Canyon, Texas, where the big skies at night make me sure that there are some others up there. Interested in space since I was a lad and have kept up with the worlds efforts to explore it.

I am a member of the Artemis Society, to try to get mankind off this globe and out to the rest of the universe. Also member of Planetary Society, sure wish the Solar sail had gone higher this last year, but it will fly again I bet. Just applauding the NASA / COTS program and the Space X machine first private orbit this past year too. Also "BIG SHOUT OUT" to Curiosity and the Mars landing this Aug 2010. Lets see what a big rover tells us about the Red Planet.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
There has to be something there, the math estimates that there are from 5 - 500 other equal or greater civilizations out there. Dangers are learning too much, too fast from others and not be able to manage it.

Benefit of SETI is to put our world into perspective, to see that we are "NOT" the end all/be all of this universe.

We should not be shouting needlessly like the dumb humans in Jurassic Park. But we can treat a pattern like it is a welcome signal. Only information that needs to be gathered is WE ARE HERE and WE WELCOME TRADE.

I want to be part of the largest computer entity on the planet and who knows, I might be the lucky one to see the first real signal from another planet.
