Personal background
Well, what can I say. I'm a violaist, and very unsure how to spell that in English.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Assuming we'll have warp drive some day, we'll bump in on them once or twice. Personnally, I like the idea from Star Trek: Because we haven't got warp drive yet, they leave us alone.
I don't think we should send them a beacon, they'll learn a lot more from a fiberoptic connection to the internet.
I recently purchased an extremely expensive computer, and now I have many hours of unused processor time left. I figured, what the hell.
By the way, when you have an Athlon 64 3200 working full-time for you, why, o god why, doesn't this program go any faster than my brother's PIII 700MHz???
