Personal background
I am a huge fan of Science Fiction. Like all young kids who grew up sneaking downstairs and hiding behind the couch when Dr Who came on I have always wondered who is out there.

I am 34 years old and married with a 3yo daughter who is beginning to quote Stargate SG1 better than I can. I work in Security mostly but my main skills are in computers.

As I said, I LOVE Science Fiction. I love to read it, watch it, play it, listen to it and imagine it!
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Back in 2000 I was on holiday with my now wife in Carnarvon, Western Australia. My grandmother told me the Alien Hunters are coming to town. I thought she was pulling my leg, until I saw the Dinner Hall at the local Yaght Club. Pheew!

The Director for the Australian Seti Association, Noel Wellstead was the guest speaker with a group of his Staff. I quickly found out when question time came that I was not the only one who wanted know what is out there.

On the following day I got to meet Noel and his Staff as they were assessing the Radio Satelite Dish left over from the Moon Missions. A proud time in my home towns history when we were able to bounce the signal from Apollo 11 to Parkes and then on to Kennedy.

It was one of the best days of my life. I got some memorable photos and had the opportunity to converse with people alot smarter than I am, but with the same burning question.

Is there anyone out there?
