Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. There must be life out there. Even if there isn't, there is some amazing stuff out there to see. We have an obligation as piooneers to go see it, to find this life.

2. Software is dodgey now. I see the good in BOINC, but before I felt like I was accomplishing something. Not so much now. all this talk of credit feels like spamming by a credit card company. As for SETI...what a great project. The search for life elsewhere...a chance to reach out and talk to someone. Meeting new people (beings) is the best feeling in the world; its why we travel. To learn new viewpoints.
