Personal background

I can't say that I'm what could be construed as 'hardcore' in regards to the scientific theories of extraterrestrial existence, but I will admit that I deem it a certain probability.

Regardless, I enjoy donating my time and my computers' energies to help in the search.

Currently, I am making my way in Michigan, continuing to beat my head against the wall in IT until the next thing comes along. Yep, I know what that next thing is.

I enjoy writing, reading, biking -- pretty much outdoor life in general -- as well as traveling, road trips, hardwood floors, poker, whispering sweet nothings, scotch, bourbon, serendipity, emptiness, and beer. That's what I do. Oh yes, and I also coach high school sports.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home

Considering the vastness and overall size of the galaxy alone (led alone the universe), honestly I believe that it's quite absurd to presume that there is no chance other intelligent life resides elsewhere. I'm not the type of individual who is convinced that extra-terrestrial life does exist, but I'll always be open to the possibility. Given simply the size of the universe, I'd presume it's more likely that other intelligent life does exist than doesn't.

At any rate, several higher-end PCs are helping me and the SETI cause discover what's out there -- or what's not. BV 4.14.04
