Profile: Alan Constantine

Personal background
I'm 35 years old and live in Virginia (USA) with my wife, Marie, and our four sons: Adam (9), Phillip (8), John (7), and Michael (2). I've worked for Sprint for the past 13 years. I manage a team of engineers supporting new products on Sprint's IP network. I really enjoy telecommunications and plan to continue working for Sprint. In my spare time, I do chores around the house, spend time with my family, attend church, and of course, tend to my Seti machines.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I do believe that extraterrestrial life exists. The question is weather there is another civilization at a similar stage of development as the Human race that would be able to communicate with us. There may be hundreds of civilizations that have long since vanished due to natural causes, or civilizations that are thousands of years behind us in development. Another possibility is that there is plenty of life out there, but none intelligent enough to communicate. The possibilities are endless, but the work of Seti is exciting. We have to do this to know for sure if there is intelligent life out there.
