I'm norwegian, working as chief engineer in the information technology department of the Norwegian Meteorological Institute.
My spare time interests are divided between IT-studies at the University of Oslo, wife and three children, and keeping up with science.

| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |
I think it was through Scientific American (magazine) that I first heard of SETI@home and subsequently registered in july 1999.
The motivation to run SETI@home is a mixture of "why let the computer run idle" and a wish to contribute to such a gigantic science project.
