Personal background
Name: Graham Boaden
Domicile: London, UK
D.O.B. 21 May 1947
I have been fascinated by Science and SF since watching Flash Gordon at the saturday morning pictures. Started work as a programmer back in 1967, on an EMIDEC 1001, now long defunct, EMI's early computer, when the UK was still a contender.
Been running the SETI program since 1999, the first units used to take 100 hours each to complete, now down to 3.5 hours.
My hero has been Carl Sagan, ever since his TV series on the 'History of Science'.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I run the SETI program because I would very much like to be in the generation that makes first contact, I am certain there are other Beings out there.
My view is that if Carl Sagan backed it, it must have a chance.
Love the graphics.
