Profile: TheFaceOnMars

Personal background
I am currently on medical leave from my job as a call center supervisor. In the late seventies and eighties I was an assistant director on feature films and television shows, including the popular and long running television series Tales From The Darkside and the first two Crocodile Dundee movies. I am a Hodgkins Disease survivor, have had two heart attacks and two bypass surgeries (that failed) in the last two years. As a result, I currently hold the world record (so I'm told) for the number of stents implanted in a human heart - 16. I am awaiting FDA approval for the implantation of two experimental stents out of Europe which I'm told will prevent further blockage of my areteries for certain. We'll see.

In the meantime, I'll search for ET through Seti@home. Come join my group, The Pittbsurgh Area Home Users, where people with faces, not networks, join forces to find the elusive aliens we all know are out there.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Of course there is extraterrestrial life. If you are uncertain, go outside on a moonless night where there are few lights to wash out the sky, crane your neck and look up. REALLY LOOK up. Don't just glance at it. After a few minutes the common sense notion that we are not alone will wipe away any childhood programming ingrained in you that all of THAT is just for us. Ridiculous.
