I'm a computer science major at Azusa Pacific University. I've used seti on and off for quite a while. I started again recently since I had a spare linux box that didn't do much. Finally adding more CPU hours to my profile.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I'm not sure quite what to believe about extraterrestrial life. It would sure be cool if there were any, but my personal thoughts lean towards no. Space is huge place though so you never know. ;) I'd say that exploration probes we sent out years ago would do a pretty good job of letting anyone that found them know that we were here. Could you image how exciting it would be for us to find a probe sent my someone else? I run seti at home because distributed processing is something that interests me.
