| I live in a small mining town in northern Canada where I have lived now for over 30 years.I am a grad from Keyin College in computer programming and I enjoy reading, camping,snowmobiling and working with computers be it programming, networking, web page design or helping some one else with thier computer related problems. |
| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

Is there extraterestrial life out there?????...I beleive so and I believe that it will not be that long before we find them.(well compared to how long we have been around)
I beleive that we should transmit a beacon for others to find because to do so may enable them to find us instead of us finding them.
I am currently running SETI@home on 3 computer that I have at home ..a P120, P133 and a AMD 800 as I want to help in anyway that I can to find I signal from someone else so that maybe we can contact them. I know that the part that I am doing is small but every bit counts.
The SETI project is a great idea and I only wish that more people and computers were involved in it.( yes I know that there are over 3,000,000 Seti@home members but that is roughly the number of new computers sold every year) With all the computers that we have today I'm sure that we could process all the data that Seti has(and more) coming in and find that message from ET that much sooner.
My hat is off to all the people at Seti and the 3 million Seti users for the vision and hard work. ET is out there......let's go find him/her...it??? |
