Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |
Yes I think extraterrestrial life exists... I think we'll be "discovered" or way in the future when we catch up to Star Trek we'll discover them. I do think we should transmit beacons. Why not? If we're worried that "they" will not come in peace. A beacon wouldn't make any difference. I think we should just send coordinates of earth and that we have "some" technology. Enough to understand there might be someone else out there and that we're some what evolved. I run SETI@home because I have hope we'll find something. Something that could help us find new technology. Of force funding to go into space exploration. I think this project is amazingly smart. With limited budgets you're allowing "volenteers" to decode packets of radio waves. I think the spectrum shouldn't be limited to radio waves though. We should have programs analyze star movements, heat patterns, "satelite" movement. Possible UFO movement and disruptions. |
