I am a 42 yr old female Aussie geologist. The piccy is my daughter (a mini-me!). I have been searching for oil & gas for 22 years! Now I am helping search for ET. Of course I love sci fi and fantasy anything - but also collect The Phantom (for my little girl (really!)). As a geo, I have studied the composition and history of the planets and millions of years is something I talk about every day at work. What really freaks me out is thinking about the sun expanding in several billion years and destroying our planet - so for the sake of our species (and our future descendants) we have to find somewhere else to go. Maybe SETI can find that place or someone who can help us move house! GOOD LUCK SETI! Go the humans!
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. ET life exist? It has to! Humans will discover ET life slowly but surely - first by SETI signals, then via deep space telescopes and then unmanned probes in the distant future which will find clues and "interpretive" evidence. After that! well the Enterprise will find ET for sure.
