Personal background
I'm from Canada, I do web design and hosting which I feel is a very rewarding job when you make something for someone that puts their ideas out for the whole world to see through the Internet.
I have always been into Science Fiction and love it when it becomes Science Fact!
So I will be watching and waiting for the big day when contact is established and hope that I can be a small part in this event!
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I have always believed that we are not alone in the Universe!
How we will descover this will be anyones guess but I feel that S.E.T.I is off to a good start. Wether we find a signal first or they find us first doesn't matter to me as long as when this event happens (If it hasn't happened all ready) that the whole event is handled the right way.
The human race has always been negative to things we don't understand, just look at our history but if the right people get involved when this amazing event happens I know first contact will be a positive situation.
I believe we should transmit a beacon to see if they can find us, Tell them who we are, what we look like and that we are searching for them also.
As for running seti@home I want to help in the search and maybe my very small effort with the 1,000's of other out there in the world will make it all possible.
