Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I think the possiblities are very good that there is extraterrestrial life out there somewhere. How we discover it is a good subject for speculation, however, it seems that some kind of radio signal would be a good choice. It is extremely frustrating that there are such great distances involved. The Seti@home project is a dream come true for me. I have been wanting to get involved in a project like this for 50 years. I commend the guys at Berkeley and certainly hope they come up with a new project for us laymen once the Seti@home project ends.
