Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
hmmmmmmmmmm...does it exist? sure, why not? it's gotta somewhere. should we transmit a beacon? sure! why not? ok, maybe because "others" could be like gigantic bugs with a thirst for human flesh. what info should we send? hell if i know, what would they understand? nothing. how about something really annoying, like, pauley shore? or carrot top? that way, if they're more intelligent than us, they'll feel the need to help us and be nice. If they're dumber than us, they'll think we're freaking hilarious and come visit and populate the dying comedy club scene. why do i run seti at home? well why the hell not?
