I live near Porto, in the northern part of Portugal.
I was born in 1961 and I am a teacher in a engineering polytechnic institute, in the informatics department, since 1990.
My main hobbies are music, computer games and reading (science fiction mainly).
I am also a big fan of Linux since 1994. |
| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

I think extraterrestrials may have been around us many times in the past.
I also think we should announce ourselves to the universe.
I like the idea behind SETI@home. The project is also very interesting because it shows us a new way to solve difficult problems. There were technological questions that SETI@home brought that require new and inventive solutions.
The technology should also be disseminated to other fields (genetics, protein research, etc). |
