| I believe that there is life out there, especially given the fact that the universe is ever-expanding and the like. As to the when and how we will discover life is a completely different topic. The government has known about the existance of extraterrestrial life for quiet some time, as proved by the Area 51 cover-up and anything and everything that goes alone with that. The ability for various nations to come together and build the International Space Station is a step in the right direction to prove to the world that aliens do exists, and when that time arrives, the American government will have to step out and say that they did cover up the Area 51 project and that there have been aliens for quite some time. The second generation of shuttles will also help in this venture because the delta-wing configuration that is being discussed will help speed the space shuttles and make them faster, and eventually (maybe before I die) things such as Warp will exist and we can fly out of our Solar System and meet these extraterrestrials face-to-face, but when is always an uncertainty. |
