To think that the Earth holds the only sentient life forms within the universe is not only naive, but myopic.
Somewhere, maybe in a dim recess, other sentient life forms are in existance, they may be more or less advanced than ourselves. We should be looking to expand our knowledge and understanding of the possibilites that we can, at some point in time communicate our existance, and learn of the existance of others.
