Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
let me answer all the topic questions here:

1) hell yes i think extraterrestrial life exists! i think our discovery of et lifeforms will come by pure accident. id like to think that we are helping the cause by doing this stuff but in all honesty i think it will be a blunder in attempts to contact one another that will lead us to find other beings. i think the searching for and understanding of et life could only benefit us, i see no drawbacks at all. i know we are not alone and i sure would like to see how others live and think and if we are the only ones that live this way!

2) i dont know if humans should transmit a beacon for others to find. i think that things will happen if we just keep searching and i dont necessarily think that presenting a beacon and showing that we are interested will help or hurt the cause. i suppose i just think it just doesnt matter one way or another.

3) i run seti@home because i do beleive there is et life out there and i love crunching numbers and share the love of computers. i guess im more of a stats person you could say. the question then comes "why dont you do folding@home to find a cure for cancer instead?" i guess i really dont have an answer for that other than i love everything about seti and i have a good time with my BuN-Knee Express ()() team members crunching data.
