Personal background
I live in a little town south of munich in bavaria, germany.
I'am a 34 years old system-technician and software-developer in my own company.

My hobbies are playing guitar reading books, Sport-Shooting with an air-gun.
In my early life i have interrests of science an technic.
From my parents i got a chemical testbox and a box to create electrical circuits (the most of it ended in a little cloud of dark smoke).
In the age of 14 years i got my first source-code-listing of basic in my fingers. And this was the moment, my career as programmer has started. First on C64 than IBM-PC with VBx.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Why i make a part of my pc available for seti? I am convinced, that our planet is not the only one, on which a higher developed form of life exists. It is wrong to mean, we are alone in space.
It isn't perhaps a carbonical form of life, but else a life basing on silicia?
Also we should spend a part of our ressources to accelerate the search for SETI.
If we should find an ETI is it a friendly or a hostile culture? When it will possible to make a journey out of our solar-system?
