| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

Yes I think extraterrestrial life exists. Right now I think we are doing exactly what we should be doing to find extraterrestrial life. The benefits would be that we could communicate and exchange technologies with this new race. And the dangers would be that they could come to our plannet and try to convert us to their "religion".
Yes I think humans should transmit a beacon for others to find. We should be sending two things, the current encyclopedia, and the happenings in the news.
I run seti@home, because, one, it uses my computer when I am not and because I hope to find new life out there in space. I find the project to be a great work, which is able to bring people together from all races and nations to work towards one common goal. |
