I am a 31 yr. old female. I live in Washington state. By trade I am a preschool teacher and by wish I always have my head in the stars. As a child I used to spend hours staring at the cosmos. When most kids my age were thinking of school, boys and who was doing what, I was trying to come up with an idea on how to contact aliens. I remember when I first saw the movie E.T., I was intrigued with the thought of being the one to accomplish such an incredible contact.To say the least I was inspired. I went home and tried to construct my own machine to contact such a creature. Today I think about this and I laugh, not because I believed in the idea but because my " machine " was something else.It is amazing what the mind of a 10 yr. old will come up with. The funny thing is I am all grown up now and my mind is still coming up with some pretty crazy ideas. for me though, one thing is certain ; my belief in extra terrestrials has never lessened. All of the hours spent on watching, waiting and believing have never ended with dissapointment. I mean think about it, The only dissapointment would be giving up and not searching the skies any longer.Thank you for the opportunity to allow my child to continue watching.

Do I think that ExtraTerrestrial life exists? Absolutely. I think that it would be small minded to think otherwise. For me, the greatness of what I see whan I look up is awsome. To think that Earth is the only inhabitable place is, well, frightning. I would like to hope that there is something else out there. I imagine that some form of life probably noticed us a long time ago. They are probably amused at the hopes we have for contacting them.I have no doubt that someday, when the time is right, we will be contacted by them.Until then, I am sure that we will continue sending messages into space with the hopes of a reply.I just hope that when this reply comes back...and it will... that humans don't freak out. We will no longer have the ability to think that we are supreme beings and the rulers of the cosmos. It will also turn religion on it's ears. It will be a time for people to really think about who we are as a human race and for some...How we got here.
