Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. I run SETI@Home for: Pretty coloured bars :) I mainly run it because I think all avenues should be researched. In such an inconceivably massive universe we can't be the only intelligent culture surely?

2. My views about the project: An elegant solution to the processing problem. Part of the reason I like SETI@Home is the teechnology aspect of distributed processing.

3. Any suggestions: I'd like to see more companies contributing to BOINC projects. Certainly my own IT department would not like it if they found I'd installed the client on one of their PCs. Maybe BOINC clients should also be shipped with some software as the protein folding client was provided as an option with one of the Google Toolbar releases some time ago. Another option is to develop clients for new platforms such as the Wii, X-BOX 360 and PS3? X-BOX Live Arcade(?) allows developers to create their own software and Nintendo seem to want to open their console up to 3rd parties as well.
