I'm 43 (2003), have been married 10 years and have 2 great kids. My wife and I run a country General Store in Victoria Australia and we're about the only and all businesses in the town.
We've both travelled a bit and I've had jobs ranging from executive to hotel bouncer with just about everything in between thrown in for good measure. We owned a small nightclub for a while but sold that and hit the road for 4 years.
We're now happily & permanently settled into our new business. I'm a bit of a sci-fi fan although not so keen now, as I was in my youth...and yes I think there's probably something out there. It's a pretty boring cosmos if we're the best to develop so far :)
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I think there is probably intelligence out there. Whether it's friendly and whether they want to talk to us, who knows. I support passive searching but I guess I've seen a few too many alien invasion movies to be totally comfortable with active signalling.
