| I am 35 yrs old from Brentwood in CA. My family thinks I'm nuts, but I think this is awesome. It is the first time something has reached every part of the globe and everyone is working together for something positive! If nothing more than just showing that we are capable of AMAZING things, I'm glad to be a part of this wonderful opportunity! |
| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

1. I absolutely think ET life exists! There has to be a species that knows more than we do. I think they are waiting for us to get smarter so we can be a worthy planet. We haven't learned how to reserve our resources yet. We don't treat each other very well, and we are very self-obsessed. If I were them, what would be the point!! We need more love, tolerance, and peace in this world before we meet our ET friends. I think they come around sometimes to check on us and see if we are learning anything yet. I don't think that they are impressed with us much.
2. I think that we should transmit something really useful for other beings to find. A cure for some disease, a technology that might help another universe who might be less advanced than we are. I like Contact.. they sent a code for a spaceship to build to show humans how to get find them. We should send the blueprint for how to build a space shuttle or some kind of craft that can help them find us. Perhaps music would be a good beacon too. It's universal here but perhaps it transcends our universe into the whole galaxy.
3. I run the program because I want that NOBEL PRIZE!!! Well actually it would be cool to get a NOBEL PRIZE but really I hope that we connect with ET and perhaps improve life on our planet by hopefully learning from others who are more advanced than we are! Perhaps they can teach us about Peace and cure diseases that plague humans.
My only suggestion is to have something on each work unit that looks promising pop up and say something. It's still confusing to me what exactly it is finding and sending back to you guys. |
