Personal background
Hi, I'm a Systems Operations personnel in the banking sector and started tinkering with PCs ever since I discovered them about 15 yrs ago [it was Digital PDP-11, anyone remembers what it was like?]. Whatever knowledge I have about PCs are mostly self taught using books, the Net and whatever pieces I can get hold of, including rummaging thru wastepaper baskets @ the office, sometimes....
This SETI@home idea of networking multiple PCs and make use of the idle CPU time intrigues me - the very idea of cooperating across borders, races, and other superficial limitations that we impose upon ourselvers as we progress thru the years. Whatever bit that I do today may or may not matter towards finding the ever elusive proof of ETs but at least I can tell myself honestly that I did try..
Fell free to contact me for any queries but no spam nor sales pitches, please...

Warm regards
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Of course ETs exist but whatever they look like, probably I will never discover in my lifetime but that does not mean we should stop looking or helping each other. SETI@HOME is not something that we force upon ourselves, so it should be fun!
