Personal background
Well I've been married twice and now have 6 kids, five of which are girls (22,21,20,13,8 & 6). I've done a lot in my life but haven't come close to completing all the items on my wish list. I love cigars, bourbon and scotch. I'm best suited being either underwater (over 100' preferably) or in the air, so I enjoy scuba diving (re-breathers especially) and I'm seriously thinking about getting my pilot's license for sail-planing (gliders). The coyote in me keeps the prankster alive so I doubt I'll ever outgrow that.

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. Yes extraterrestrial life exists and i doubt we will ever find it however I am convinced they will find us, if in fact they haven't already. The biggest benefit would be to bring humnaity together and begin to believe in itself as one body versus each individual or country for themselves.
2. Yes we should do everything to attract attention to ourselves.
3. It's simply, I belive in the project and I also believe in the technology and community behind it.
