Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Yes I beleive that extraterrestial life exists. Who knows when and how we will find other life. It is a great thought that by using the screen saver to help crunch data that we might find life.

The benefits of finding extraterrestial are astronomical. Any thing from space travel, medical break throughs, such advancments that one can only dream about. The dangers are just as great. The possibility of finding other life forms only bent on destruction, conquerer's, etc are just as great as the benefits. But we still have to look.

I think we should transmit signals as well as search for them. That can only double our efforts.
