| Extraterrestrial life exists. That's a reality. It's a question of logic. The Universe is almost infinite and its still expanding although this expansion is slowing down. As for predictions about when or how we will find it... i have none. But i believe that when the time comes, proof will apear. Beacons? Probes? We already sent one, so it's a question of waiting. SETI is doing what is logical in terms of finding ET life and is pretty much what we can do right now. Studying recordings from different points of the universe is in my opinion the most racional and intelligent way. After all our own radio waves are beeing transmitted to space even if it's not on purpose. Someone once said that if Martians existed and if they were picking our radio waves, they would be listening to Elvis right now. So... who knows? Maybe someday we will really pick up some alien transmition. And maybe one day we will meet them in reality instead of only on sci-fi shows. Only time will tell. Until then, i hope that the SETI project will endure. |
