Profile: Breezy

Personal background
I live in the Lehigh Valley area of Pennsylvania, which is in the north eastern area of the USA. I own a small trucking company that hauls flatbed trailers from the southeastern to mid-western US and back to the northeast. We do military loads as well as hauling machinery and construction related equipment.

When I have time, my hobbies range from playing action and sim games on my PC to making birdhouses and feeders. I have a miniature poodle named Ozzy, a cat named Spooky and another named Abby..

I have two websites that I try to maintain, but have been busy lately.
They are:
Www.lemoi.com and www.mylehighvalley.com feel free to drop in on those..

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. Do you think extraterrestrial life exists? Yes in some form or another, I would imagine it has to.. Close Encounters was a favorite movie of mine.

If so, when and how will humans discover it? The SETI project should be a good way to help discover it. Don't think it will happen in our lifetime though, but you have to keep listening just in case. Benefits could be in tech and healthcare knowledge, dangers could stem from the natural fear of the unknown.

# Should humans transmit a beacon for others to find? If so, what information should we send? No I would rather listen, If there is extraterrestrial life, what we see as a generic friendly message, they may take as a threat.

3. Why do you run SETI@home? What are your views about the project? Any suggestions?

To contribute and because it interests me. I believe that projects such as SETI should be privatly funded though. Through companies and private donations. Although I beleive that the goverment should help contribute to the upkeep of observatories and radio telescopes as I think we will get hit by a big rock that will dramatically change life on the planet before we see ET. But I hope not.
