Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Extraterrestial life DOES exist since our own planet is living proof. Since we humans exist it is fact that other life must also exist elsewhere in the universe.

I believe it unlikely that we will discover them, rather, they will discover us - if not already. Their technology will, by necessity, be far superior to ours and it will be our luck or not if the new visitors are benevolent or mean.

My view is that it is highly possible several dominions will operate as one large alliance. If there are alien cultures then there must be several, hundreds possibly - all more advanced than us humans still grubbing about in the dirt.

Looking at our own sad planet, I suspect the latter is far more likely.

It would be good fun for a while but then everyone dies sometime huh.
