Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. It is very hard for me to believe that extraterrestrial life does not exist somewhere in the universe. The size of universe is just overwhelmingly and possibly infinitely huge. I cannot bring myself to think that there is not another planet somewhere that has life.
2. Sure! If we are searching for intelligent life, why don't we act as intelligent life ourselves? It could be risky, because there just might be an intelligent and aggressive species somewhere that's just searching for planets to take over... I watch too much cartoon? What?
3. I want to find alien! And climbing up the ladder gives me a sense of achievement. About the only achievement I get. I think this is a very cool project. Everyone who is interested can all take part and participate and contribute to something that we either believe or not believe in. Definitely beats government's Area 51, doesn't it?
