Personal background
I'm a 37 year old computer engineer in Australia. I have been running my own I.T. consulting business since 2000. I got my first computer in 1982. It had a 6502 CPU and ran at 2MHz. With 16K RAM it was said to be one of the most powerful home computers in it's time.
Check it out.

It had no hard disk although apparently you could buy a floppy drive. I could never find a floppy drive for it. I stored everything to audio cassette. It would take ages to load/save.
Imagine processing Seti on this!
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I really don't think we'll find anything. I process units because I enjoy the technology behind it all.
