| While originally from Marshall, MI, USA, I currently reside in Hatfield, PA, USA. I have lived in many places between then and now. As of this date, 25-JUN-2003, I am 35 years old. I am a voiceover talent masquerading as a software engineer. Hopefully I can reverse that in the near future. In my spare time, such as it is, I like to travel, skate, play hockey, watch Star Trek, swim in my pool, or just hang with my sweetie. |
| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

| I think that the SETI project, while not the most important, is probably the most noble endeavor in human history. A growing segment of the population is finally getting over our arrogance and embracing the idea that we are not the center of the universe. I think that it is an indicator that we as a species are finally becoming civilized. If we can survive long enough perhaps we will become civilized enough to not destroy ourselves in arguments over how to divide the resources of our meager little world. And who knows, if we do find extra-terrestrial intelligence perhaps they can help us in that capacity. |
