Personal background
I am a network managment engineer. I work for a small company based in Virginia. I have been using the SetiAtHome screen saver since my last year at USF. I currently have SetiAtHome running on several different machines that are located at my home.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Yes, I think there is life out there somewhere. I don't know about sending a beacon, at this point anything we send will be so slow that it won't make much difference. I run SetiAtHome because I think that there is probably evidence out there that we can find, if we look long enough.
