I'm 34 years of age and work as a freelancer web developer.
The "Treadmill" in my name is a nickname I received from my work colleagues, after buying myself a treadmill to do my training on... one day I want to run the London Marathon.... eventually. ;)
My main interests are; reading fantasy/sci-fi, biking, programming, fitness training and constant thoughts of other civilisations in the universe and wishing I could be around when we finally made contact.

I truly believe in extraterrestrial life in the universe and I have no doubt at all that there are other civilisations out there.
I'm sure all of them are probably asking the same questions that we do and are also looking in the universe for life. I suspect there are others that do have the technology to travel vast distances.... the only problem is the Universe is mind-boggerlingly (is that a word?!) HUGE, that it will take a long time to find it.
I run SETI@Home not so I myself will process that final discovery, but so I can be a part of what I have always dreamed of... that we are not alone and that there is a purpose to all this. Making contact and understanding the universe.
