Personal background
I'm a 22 year old television production freelancer with too much free time. When not trying to learn more about my trade and break into the harsh business I'm studying about sharks, volunteering at the local aquarium, drawing, building model cars and planes, or caring for the critters who share my home. I'm also an avid photographer and I'm working on my videography skills.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Why did I download SETI@Home? Well, might as well tell the truth up front. I liked the pretty colors ont he screensaver. Yup, it looked cool, so I slapped it on my system. I'll be the first to admit that I'm easily amused.

Once the initial pretty-color shock wore off I started looking at the program in a more scientific way. It's really pulling in data, and searching for signals that may be from another species. That revelation stopped me in my tracks for a moment, and that's when I decided to take it a bit more seriously than just oogling over the neato graph that the graphic interface spit out at me. I do believe there is other life out there, I think they've been here, and I think they'll return. If I can help find them so we can forge a friendship with other intellegent beings, then I'm there!
