G'day, Earth creatures...I come in peace!

i`m a Bulgarian (21), student - i`m doing Astronomy at Osaka University, Japan (chottooo...muzukashii, nee...), i currently live in Kyoto in a very old japanese-style house (really cold in winter, full of nasty bugs in summer, bloody humid and sunny throughout the year...) near Ginkakuji - you are most welcome to pay me a visit if you happen to be passing by...:). We go for occasional bike rides (= affordable fun) in the mountains with my Aussie girlfriend, and i fear no beer (= not so affordable, but great fun!)...it's a gray everyday life...

i really wanted to work at the SETI Institute after i graduate, no matter how banal this may sound, but my interests have shifted a while ago to Indo-European Historical/Comparative Linguistics and language reconstruction and my dream doesn't seem to be appropriate any more (unless we actually find someone out there, in which case we'll probably need linguists to help with deciphering their language :)).

The farm consists of a WinXP Pro 747 MHz Celeron/256 MB IBM ThinkPad i1800, and i can't say it's staggeringly fast, (the CLI takes about 10 hours to complete one work unit) but i'm trying, i'm trying...thanks for spending 27.92s reading this intro, we`ll be back after the commercials...

Sure enough, i believe ET Intelligence exists, otherwise you wouldn`t be reading this now...Carl Sagan is absolutely right about the terrible waste of space! i'm a dedicated believer and i don't have anything more to say...the only thing left is to trace the signal we receive, open a Telnet session and try to understand what They say...i just hope their words can be displayed in plain text format :)
