Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
The statistical probability of life in the universe is so high that the question is not "is there life" it is "where is the life".

We are already sending signals into space. The problem with a beacon is that it would be narrow. Even with signal dispersal it would still be narrow.

I run it because someone has to be the first to get a hit.

Suggestions:
Able to download the results of all of work when necessary. That way when we change machines we can get the results for mapping.

Modify the screen saver so it would only use the available CPU space and not deny other programs of CPU time.

Make it so that it can either take advantage of multiple processors or run multiple instances in the NT environment.
