Personal background
Hi, I am a full time mother and a part time student. I am studying for a BSc (Hons) in Natural and Environmental sciences. I am really interested in being part of this project, and I am encouraged to see so many others doing their part.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Extraterrestrial life of a carbon type is statistically possible. However intelligent life that may have evolved elsewhere is an uncertainity. Many scientists believe that human kind would not be here if it was not for a series of accidents. Indeed if the global temperature had been even 10 degrees higher or lower at a strategic point in our evolution, we would not be here.

This project is really important to the future of our planet, (according to reports we may not have too long left here at all) and to our children. I feel that SETI is important in raising awareness of the multiverse, and run the program in order that we may all benefit from any results.
