Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Logic leads me to believe that ET life is present in local Galaxies. I consider that we will be the ones ....'to be discovered'. I can only hope that we will be ready as a 'world nation' to deal with the scenario when it happens.
I think the current space programme has adequately transmitted representative information , for our present level of technology anyway. (i.e small amounts of data for a small amount of interstellar advancement).
Future efforts in this area should then, by default, represent our progress as an interplanetary explorer.
I enjoy helping on this project so as to enable the trawl for knowledge to go a little quicker. With people from many nations working together on this ...... who knows ? ...we may even stop fighting each other and start working together for the real good of mankind.......... Now that might send the right kind of signal to ET !!
