Profile: Carol Lynn Hazlett

Personal background
I am a 57 year old grandma retired from Ma Bell as a network technician. I currently have my own home based
business writing articles for magazines and making reproductions of antique porcelain dolls. I have always
been a sci-fi nut and even write sci-fi short stories.
So far none of my fiction has been published, just my
magazine articles but I'll keep on trying. For those of you still struggling towards it, retirement is Heaven on
Earth. It is my second childhood. I get to play with
dolls, listen to all the rock & roll I want and surf the
net, lay in my backyard, ride my bicycle on the trails,
and drive around in my Beetle. It is like being a teenager
again without parents to rain on your parade. I sure hope
the economy of this country will allow the next generation
to have the same kind of benefits my generation has had!
The picture on my profile is that of my best friend, my
poodle Moppette. She is sitting on the lap of my other
best friend, my husband Bill. He took the picture sitting
in the front seat of the Beetle.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I believe the theory that life matter, in some form, floats free in space and that is what seeds life on the planets. Life throughout the universe will have some common base and is everywhere possible. I run Seti@home to do what I can to further the search for other life and in some little way feel like I am part of the big picture.
